CCTV installation
CCTV installation in West Yorkshire
Cameras chosen for your property and fitted by our own engineers, with the app set up on your phone before we leave. Systems from £750 fitted, and nothing to pay monthly.
Next fitting date available Friday 23 October
Full colour at night
Infrared turns everything monochrome, which is fine for seeing that someone is there and useless for saying what colour their car was. Our IP cameras hold full colour after dark using a low-light sensor and a small warm light.
The picture on the right is one of our own cameras at ten to eleven at night, with nothing but a porch light on.

Fitted properly for brick, stone or render
Brick, Yorkshire stone, render and timber all take a different fixing, and a camera that works loose in the first winter was never going to last. Cable runs go in trunking or through the fabric, not stapled across the front of the house.
Where a camera needs height, we pole-mount it and bring the cable back properly.
- Weatherproof housings rated for outdoor use
- Cable in trunking or concealed, never surface-stapled
- Recorder sited out of sight, not by the front door
- Set up on your phone before we leave

HD or IP: how to tell which you need
Both record around the clock and both show you a phone view. The difference is what the picture gives you when you actually need it.
- HD system
- 1080p, infrared night vision to 30 m, NVR recorder. The right answer for most homes.
- IP system
- Up to 4K, full-colour night vision, AI detection of people and vehicles, NVR recorder.
- AI detection
- The camera separates a person or a car from a cat, a branch or headlights, so the alerts you get are worth looking at.
- Storage
- 1 TB to 2 TB as standard, which is roughly two to four weeks before it writes over the oldest footage. More is available.
- Viewing
- Live and playback on iPhone and Android, and on a PC. Clips save to your phone.
- Power
- Mains, with the recorder on a small UPS if you want it to survive a power cut.

Fitted prices, with nothing to pay monthly
Installation, cabling, phone setup, your training and a two-year guarantee are all in the price. Larger or more complicated jobs are quoted after the free survey.
How many cameras do I actually need?
Most semi-detached houses are covered properly by four: the front door, the drive, the back door and the garden or side path. Two is enough for a terrace with one way in and one way out.
The number matters less than where they point. On the survey we walk the boundary with you and work out how someone would actually approach the property, then put cameras on those lines.
Will I be able to recognise a face, or just see a shape?
That depends on how far the camera is from the face and how wide the lens is, not on the megapixels on the box. A camera covering a whole drive will identify a person but may not give you a court-quality face.
That is why we usually put one camera tight on the approach to the front door at head height, and use the wider views for context.
Do I have to pay a monthly fee?
No. Everything records to a recorder in your house and the phone app connects to it directly. There is no subscription, and no cloud account you have to keep paying for.
Can I see it on my phone when I am away?
Yes, live and recorded, anywhere you have a signal. We set the app up on your phone before we leave and show you how to find a clip and save it.
Do I need to tell anyone I have CCTV?
For your own home pointing at your own property, no. If a camera overlooks a shared space, a neighbour's garden or the pavement, data protection rules apply and you should put up a sign.
We will tell you on the survey if anything we are proposing crosses that line, and we angle cameras to avoid it wherever we can.
What happens if something breaks?
Every installation carries a two-year guarantee on parts and labour. We fitted it, so we come back and fix it. You are not calling a manufacturer's helpline.
