Burglar alarms
Burglar alarm installation in West Yorkshire
Professional intruder alarms from five manufacturers, designed around your building and the way you live in it. Pet tolerant detectors, named zones, and an alert on your phone the moment something trips.
Next fitting date available Friday 9 October
Detectors placed where a person would have to be
Most false alarms are a placement problem: a sensor facing a radiator, a sunlit window or the cat's route to the kitchen. On the survey we walk each room and work out where a person would have to be, then put the detector there.
Every zone is named on the app, so an alert tells you it was the back door, rather than only that something happened.
- Pet-tolerant detectors, set to the animals you actually have
- Named zones so an alert says where
- Arm and disarm from the app, from anywhere
- Battery and mains-failure warnings before they become a problem

Five manufacturers, chosen to suit the building
We are independent, so the recommendation is about your property rather than about what we happen to stock.
- Pyronix Enforcer
- Wireless, quick to fit in a finished house, pet-tolerant to 20 kg, app control through ProControl+.
- Texecom Premier Elite
- Modular and expandable, good for larger or commercial properties, pet-immune to 35 kg, app control through SmartCom.
- Ajax
- Encrypted wireless, very good app, clean-looking kit for a house where the sensors will be on show.
- RISCO Agility
- Dual-technology detectors and camera-equipped sensors, so a trigger can send a picture with the alert.
- Visonic PowerMaster
- Wireless with strong pet-tolerance algorithms, long battery life, well suited to bungalows and single-storey extensions.
How an alarm installation works
Same as everything else we do: look first, quote once, fit it properly and show you how it works before we drive away.
- Step one
We survey, free.
An engineer walks the house with you, room by room, and asks about pets, sleeping arrangements and how you come and go.
- Step two
We fit and commission.
Panel, detectors, siren and app, tested zone by zone with you there. Wireless leaves no damage.
- Step three
We hand it over.
You arm it, disarm it and get an alert while we are still in the house, so you know it works and you know how to use it.
Will the alarm go off every time the cat walks past?
Not with the detectors we fit. Pet-tolerant sensors ignore an animal below a set weight while still picking up a person, and the systems we use handle up to 20 kg or 35 kg depending on the range.
Tell us about the animals on the survey and we will pick and position the detectors around them.
Does it call the police?
A standard alarm sounds locally and pushes an alert to your phone. Police response requires a monitored system with a URN through an approved receiving centre, which is a separate arrangement with an annual cost.
For most homes, a loud siren plus an instant phone alert does the job. We will talk you through both.
What happens in a power cut?
The panel runs on a backup battery, and the systems we fit report a mains failure to your phone. Wireless sensors run for years on their own batteries and tell you before they go flat.
Wired or wireless?
Wireless is quicker to fit, causes no damage and suits a finished house. Wired is the better answer in a new build, an extension or anywhere the walls are already open.
Both are professional-grade. We are not talking about the DIY kits from a catalogue.
Can it work with my cameras?
Yes. Where the alarm and the cameras are on one system, a triggered detector can pull up the camera covering that zone, so the alert on your phone comes with a picture of what set it off.
Which brands do you fit?
Pyronix, Texecom, Ajax, RISCO and Visonic. We are not tied to one manufacturer, so we fit whichever suits the building and the way you live in it.
