The SPRO doorbell records to a memory card inside the unit, which we supply and fit, so your clips stay in your house rather than on someone's cloud and there is no monthly fee to keep them. It tells a person from a passing car, so you are not pinged every time the traffic goes by, and the plug-in chime rings indoors the way a doorbell should, whether or not your phone is in your pocket. We wire it in, connect it to your Wi-Fi, pair the chime, fit the memory card and set the app up on your phone before we leave.

Fitting day

We ring the evening before with an arrival time. The engineer fits the system, tests every camera or sensor with you, and sets the app up on your phone before leaving.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. Clips record to the memory card inside the doorbell, which we supply and fit, and you watch them in the free DMSS app. There is no cloud plan to pay for.

Does it need my old doorbell's wiring?

It runs happily on most existing bell wiring, between 10 and 24 volts. If you have no wiring at the door we fit a small plug-in power supply and run a discreet cable, which is included in the price.

Will it ring inside the house?

Yes. The chime plugs into a socket anywhere in the house and rings when the button is pressed, whether or not your phone is nearby. You get a notification on your phone as well.

How long will the memory card hold?

It records clips when someone is at the door or something moves, not all day long, so a card holds weeks of callers. When it is full the oldest clips are written over.

Can I talk to a delivery driver?

Yes. Open the app when the doorbell rings and you can see and speak to whoever is there, from the sofa or from the other side of the world.
